How essential are Essential Oils?
Essential oils are everywhere nowadays. There are so many promises of guaranteed relaxation, or elimination of this and that, or a cure for anything under the moon. Do they really work? Can they heal all of the ailments? Here is more information that will help answer any questions you may have about these wonderful oils.
Essential oils are a holistic way to help with stress, anxiety, beauty care, household products, and so much more. Oils are removed from the plant, tree, bark, flower, leaf and so forth, through a steaming process and then separated from the water-based compounds. The remaining oil can be used topically, taken orally (usually with an alcohol compound), or heated (sometimes with water). From this process, you get the pure benefit of the starting plant. After the distillation process, the oils are the concentrated version of their mother plant. The molecules in the oils are also so small that they can penetrate the skin, making oils efficient for a variety of uses. For generations, oils have been used across so many different cultures. Through the years, the use of oils has varied but the effect has been the same. That they work!
